In-Floor Heating The tubing on the ground is in-floor heating coils on top of 2" insulation sheets. The 4" concrete slab will be poured over these coils. This was highly recommended for many reasons aside from the obvious efficiency; like future resale value. The anti-freeze running through the coils can be heated by gas, electricity or a wood burning stove. I have an idea about using a Stirling Engine to pump the anti-freeze through, which will run off the heat of the stove. Stirling engines could probably be used in many off-grid applications like this. |
