Woodburning Boiler (2nd Try) My first attempt at a wood-fired boiler utilzed an old water heater tank. Unfortunately that tank held too much anti-freeze to heat efficiently as well as providing very little surface contact with the stove. I got lucky on eBay to find this new tank, which I had to modify by adding stainless steel plumbing fittings. I'm also considering sort of a galvanized pipe serpentine along the sides of the stove to take advantage of all the heat generated. It will provide a lot more surface contact and obviously holds less anti-freeze. (more pictures later) |
