Fall 2005:  If you've read everything up to this point, you may recall a property line dispute with my neighbor to the west.  The end result is that I spent the money and built a new driveway 200'-300' to the east.  Below you can see the old location and markings where I'll clear trees for the new driveway.

September 2005:  I had to clear all new trees for my new driveway.  The first pictures are from the outside (before and after) looking in toward the building site.  The second picture looks out toward the road from the building site.

October 2005:  I did everything I could to work with the new neighbor on the driveway issue.  They chose not to cooperate in the least, I guess thinking they were just going to get all that investment of time, effort and money for free.  I finally called the guy that originally built the approach to come move it about 200' east.  Big shock here - when the neighbor found out, he went nuts and tried to have me arrested.  I'll update this page on new developments, like his constant utterance that "you'll hear from my lawyer".

Fascinating update: As I was writing this - I'm not kidding - the neighbor called and stated quite clearly that he was going to 'handle' his dad and that there would be no retaliation on this issue.  We had a pleasant chat for a few minutes and I guess now it's all done.

Cost:  Clear trees - $750.  Move approach - $2600.  Resurface new driveway with gravel from previous driveway - $2700.    Total:  $6050.00    Ouch.
